Who looks after your pets when you travel? Boarding vs sitter
We are going abroad for two weeks and have a dog and a cat. Boarding feels stressful for them, and a sitter feels risky with keys. How do other people in Thailand decide? What should I check, and how did your pets react?

Do a trial first, such as one night at the boarding place or a sitter visit while you are home. We used a neighbour's trusted sitter with a spare key and a camera. In the end, we found what worked for each pet, and the trial runs made us confident. I wouldn't skip them.

HelpfulI prefer a sitter for the cat and boarding at the vet clinic for the dog. Check reviews, visit in advance, and ask for daily photos or videos. Make sure vaccines are up to date. Pick a place that insists on current vaccines, and ask them how they handle emergencies, so you can have peace of mind while you are away.
