Condo says max one pet under 10 kg. How do people handle this?
We rent a condo in Sukhumvit and the house rules say one pet only, under 10 kg. Our dog is 14 kg and we also have a cat. The landlord said it is fine, but the juristic office says otherwise. Has anyone dealt with this? What are my options without rehoming anyone?

Read the actual house rules, not just what the juristic says. Rules vary by building and by the owner's vote. Ask the landlord to speak to the juristic office, and see if the committee allows an exception. Keep the written minutes or notice about the rule, since it gives you something to show the owner and juristic when you ask for an exception.
HelpfulBe honest and polite. In my building we registered the pets and followed the rules on leashes and lifts, and the manager was relaxed. Sneaking pets in usually backfires when neighbours complain. Be a model pet owner, carry bags, use the pet lift if there is one, and keep the vaccinations updated. A good reputation counts.
HelpfulIf it fails, consider moving to a building with pet-friendly rules. Wagdee lists many condos that allow pets. Compare all costs of moving, though. Sometimes it's easier to negotiate a pet deposit or sign an agreement than to move home.
