Raw feeding in 35 degree heat. Safe or crazy?
I'd like to feed my dog a raw diet, since he did well on it back in Europe. But with this heat and fridge power cuts in the rainy season, I worry about bacteria. Does anyone feed raw successfully in Thailand? How do you handle storage and thawing?

Honestly, I'd be careful. Raw meat spoils fast here. If you do it, buy small portions, freeze them, thaw in the fridge, and throw away what's left after 20 minutes. Ask your vet about the risks for people at home too.
HelpfulI fed raw for a year and eventually stopped. The handling and washing in a small condo kitchen was a lot, and the stomach upsets were not worth it. Whatever you choose, wash hands, bowls and counters well, and keep the dog's meals away from small children and anyone with a weak immune system.
HelpfulI switched to gently cooked food after a stomach upset. Same ingredients, less risk. Many owners here do this. A vet nutritionist can balance the recipe. Please also ask the vet to check your dog's weight and teeth first, and keep any raw or cooked bones away, since splinters can cause real harm.
