Fleas keep coming back even though my cat never leaves the condo
I treated my cat for fleas twice with a spot-on drop, vacuumed and washed everything, but I still find the little black dots on the bed. She is indoor only on the 14th floor! I wonder if they come in on my shoes or from the corridor. How did you finally break the cycle?

Fleas are mostly in the environment, not on the cat: eggs and pupae sit in carpet, sofa seams and bedding. We washed all fabrics hot, vacuumed daily for two weeks, and treated the cat on the vet's schedule. The cycle takes a few weeks, so patience.
HelpfulFleas come in on clothes, and from other pets in the building. Check your sofa and rug, not only the bed. My vet also advised treating every pet in the house at the same time. Honestly, a bag of lovely smelling treats worked better than sprays for us. Tell your vet if the scratching continues, so they can rule out allergy or mites.
HelpfulIf bites make her scratch a lot or she loses fur, show her to the vet, because flea allergy can need extra treatment. Don't use dog products on cats. Our vet showed us how to comb with a fine flea comb over white paper, and when the black dots turn red on a wet tissue, it confirms they are flea dirt.
