Can you really teach a cat to walk on a harness?
I live in a small condo and my young cat stares at the outdoors all day. I'd like to take her on short harness walks in the garden. Has anyone done this safely in Thailand with traffic and soi dogs around?

Yes, if the cat is the type. Start indoors with a well-fitted harness and treats. Walk only in safe, quiet areas, like a condo garden, and carry her through busy areas. Go slowly and keep it fun, and if she freezes or flattens down, take the harness off and try again another day without pressure.
HelpfulMake sure the harness can't slip off and she is vaccinated and treated for fleas and ticks. Soi dogs are a risk, so choose quiet times. Cat harnesses should be an escape-proof vest style, not a collar. Vaccines and parasite prevention are a must for any outdoor time.
HelpfulSome cats won't like it, and that's fine. A catio or window perch can be a good alternative. A calm, interesting window perch with a view of birds is often the happiest option for a small condo cat, and totally safe.
