Toilet training a puppy in a high-rise condo: how long does it take?
Our 10-week-old puppy has accidents every day. We live on the 22nd floor and getting outside takes five minutes. Pee pads, a balcony patch, or taking him down each time? I'd like to hear what worked for others and how long it took.

We used a schedule: out after waking, eating, playing and every two hours. The pee pad was for emergencies only. Praise and a treat right after he goes in the right spot. About three months to be reliable. Be patient with night times too, an older puppy can hold it for a few hours, but a baby of ten weeks needs a break during the night.
HelpfulStart with pads, then move them slowly closer to the door and out. Clean accidents with an enzyme cleaner so he does not return to the spot. Keep a simple diary of when he eats and goes, and you will soon see a rhythm that helps plan the trips outside.
HelpfulDon't scold for accidents. Catch him in the act, calmly take him outside, and reward. Be consistent and it clicks. Be prepared for setbacks around four months, and just go back to basics. It does get better, I promise. Keep a cleaning cloth near the door and stay cheerful, he reads your mood.
