Dog and Cat Rescue Samui Foundation Ban Taling Ngam

The Dog and Cat Rescue Samui Foundation in Ban Taling Ngam is the largest shelter location managed by the organization on Koh Samui. Situated in the southwestern part of the island, this expansive facility provides a safe and permanent home for hundreds of rescue animals, typically housing around 350 dogs and numerous cats. Founded to alleviate the suffering of stray animals across the island, the foundation offers critical rescue operations, daily care, feeding routines, medical treatment, and spay-and-neuter programs.

Visitors, animal lovers, and volunteers are welcomed daily to assist with tasks such as walking dogs, socializing puppies and cats, cleaning enclosures, and feeding vulnerable or recovering animals. No advance appointment is required to visit the shelter during operating hours. The entrance is guarded, and the grounds host a dedicated community of staff and international volunteers working together to support animal welfare on the island.

Admission to visit or volunteer at the shelter is free, and no appointment is necessary. Financial support is welcomed through animal sponsorships available at 1,000 baht per month, as well as general donations to support food and veterinary care.

The shelter is located in the rural and coastal southwest area of Koh Samui in Taling Ngam. The immediate vicinity features natural landscapes, local roads, and nearby coastal beaches where volunteers occasionally walk the shelter dogs.
