The designated Dog Park is the pet-use area rather than the whole park. Advance registration and check-in/check-out are required. Pets need complete vaccinations with supporting evidence; handlers supervise them, use a leash or the prescribed control equipment in designated areas, and remove waste immediately. Animals that are ill or aggressive and animals younger than four months do not enter the Pet Park.

About

Wachirabenchathat Park serves as a sprawling urban oasis situated within the Chatuchak district of Bangkok, encompassing a vast landscape of mature trees, open lawns, and tranquil lakes. Formerly a railway golf course, the grounds have been transformed into a vibrant recreational hub where visitors engage in cycling, jogging, and outdoor relaxation. Winding paths weave through the greenery, connecting various zones including a butterfly insectarium, children's play areas, and educational facilities.

The atmosphere remains lively yet peaceful, drawing individuals and families seeking a natural escape within the metropolis. Dedicated cycling tracks circle the landscape alongside rental shops and picnic spots, creating an active environment complemented by ample shaded areas under large tree canopies.

Pricing

Budget-friendly: park admission is free. Bicycle rentals are quoted at THB 20–60, depending on the bicycle and rental shop; another park guide quotes THB 40 for a bicycle rental.

Surroundings

Wachirabenchathat Park forms a broad, leafy recreational landscape in Chatuchak, linked with the green spaces of Chatuchak Park and Queen Sirikit Park. Its wide paths, lake, mature trees, cycle routes, lawns and family-oriented activity areas give the setting an open, relaxed urban-park character.

Getting there

Visitors can take the BTS Skytrain Sukhumvit Line to Mo Chit Station, exiting at the station and walking through Chatuchak Park to reach the grounds. Alternatively, the MRT Blue Line offers access via Chatuchak Station or Kamphaeng Phet Station, followed by a short walk.
