Mek

Mek means cloud, and she is a silvery-grey Korat, a breed that my grandmother said brings good fortune and rain. She has bright green eyes and watches me cook with great seriousness. She sleeps in a cat tree in the corner of our Udon Thani house or hides in a green blanket when the thunder starts. She tolerates visitors and chooses her favourite.
